Kate Evans: Photos
Photos from a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar, 2004
- A regal mother elephant in Tarangire National Park. Soon she made her displeasure at our proximity known, in no uncertain terms.

- Kate and friend Joseph under a huge baobob tree. We were watching out for lions, something I typically don't worry about in parks in NJ. The landscape there is incredible.

- A resting cheetah in Ngorongoro Crater Park.

- Warriors from the Maasai tribe, one of the predominant tribal groups in Tanzania

- Isn't he gorgeous? Yes, we really were that close (though in a vehicle).

- Just a tiny part of the annual migrating herd of wildebeest. We camped in Serengeti National Park and woke in the mornings to see them only 100 feet from our camp. Truly amazing.

- My Zanzibari henna tattoos. The artist did this in 20 minutes, freehand. They lasted 4 weeks, I wanted them to stay forever!

- Heading out to a traditional dhow boat for some diving in Zanzibar, which was simply exquisite.
